I spoke too soon!

I definitely spoke way too soon about that great European summer weather.  Today was terribly grey and it rained on and off the entire day, but I still let Jo convince me to go ashore and walk around.  The city of Bergen is absolutely beautiful even on a rainy day, so I can only imagine how incredible a sun-shiny day would be.  The grass is so green (from all the rain) and there are tons of statues everywhere giving the city lots history and culture.  Most of the statues were pretty interesting – like a guy playing a violin on the top of a fountain made of rocks with a Zues-looking Mermaid below.  And this one…just plain odd.  It’s a naked kid (boy) with his face all scrunched up.  Just odd. 

Jo and I didn’t do much – walked around as we usually do but then the downpour started to come, so we went inside a McDonalds (surprise, surprise) and got some (terribly slow) Wi-Fi.  There were kids everywhere screaming and yelling, so we lasted about an hour there and then headed “home” and into the warm.  In a way, it was good – I got a good workout in before I had to start work.

Hopefully the weather will start to look up again…soon!!
